I love novels told in verse, and this one sounds particularly gripping. Apparently, this is a fictional account of a scenario that plays out at least once or twice a year: A young person is attacked by a shark and survives, but requires prosthetic limbs to carry on a "normal" life. Although, in this age of reality TV and media supervision, is there ever a "real" life after something as drastic as a shark attack? This book (according to reviews on amazon) included news clips and letters of support from other amputees.I can imagine this novel in verse hitting my free reading shelves and being promptly snatched up by all of my hungry little teen readers. A feeding frenzy!
